I have a bachelors in History and Spanish from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY and a Masters in Early Childhood Education, from City College in New York City. I also hold a graduate certificate in reading instruction from the Curriculum and Instruction Department at Fordham University in New York City. I have been a teacher in New York City for 14 years and have had success teaching children with dyslexia, comprehension issues and have helped them move up in reading levels. I have had Wilson and Orton Gillingham training.
Experience
I have extensive RTI work with struggling readers. I am familiar with the demands of the Common Core and can help kids catch up. Well versed in the new ELA shifts in reading and writing. Differentiating and making learning fun is my speciality.
